Bryon Main is the president, co-founder, and managing director of ExL Pharma. Bryon is enthusiastic, determined and a fierce negotiator who is constantly on the move. The best way to prompt him into action is to tell him that a problem needs a solution. Bryon’s loyalty to serve his customers and the pharmaceutical industry is the main reason he followed his entrepreneurial spirit to co-found ExL Pharma in September of 2004. Bryon’s knack for building relationships and forming unique partnerships is an inspiration to his colleagues. He thrives on finding new and innovative ways to build successful conferences for his clients and bring them to fruition.
Boasting over 13 years’ experience as a pharmaceutical industry conference expert, Bryon is responsible for overseeing ExL Pharma’s marketing, sales, and production operations. Before starting his own company, Bryon got his professional start with the Institute of International Research where he oversaw the launch and development of key industry events such as the Pharmaceutical Marketing Congress, ePharma Summit, and MedEdCongress.
When he’s not running ExL Pharma, Bryon spends time with his expanding family, loves to sport fish and obsess over the latest tech trends and toys.

Ethan Denkensohn, co-founder, Chairman and Managing Director of ExL Pharma is focused on financial operations, human resources and business development. Ethan has been providing consultative products and services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries for over 15 years.
After earning his BS in Public Affairs at Indiana University, Ethan joined Burns McClellan as an Investor Relations Associate where he learned to develop strategies and implement tactics for clients that included Alkermes, Cephalon, Cor Therapeutics and OSI Pharmaceuticals. While at Burns, he became the youngest person in the firm’s history to get promoted to Senior Account Executive and spent significant time providing client services around investment banking conferences such as Robertson Stephens and Hambrecht & Quist which would prove beneficial shortly down the road. From there, Ethan advanced his experience at Lippert Heilshorn while pursuing his MBA at Fordham University’s School of Business. Considering new opportunities in related business areas, in 2003 Ethan joined the Institute for International Research as a Conference Producer in its Pharmaceutical Division where he met Bryon Main and began forming the idea for ExL Pharma.
When unattached from his iPhone, Ethan can usually be found enjoying time with his wife and daughter. Travelling from his home in New Jersey to ExL’s headquarters in New York City allows ample time for reading, alternative music and tracking and evaluating investments. Once off the proverbial train, Ethan is an avid sports fan and enjoys playing golf, tennis and running, especially to his wine cellar to sample his growing collection.

Shari Gelfand, Director of Marketing at ExL Pharma, has over 12 years of Pharmaceutical and Healthcare conference marketing experience.
Beginning her career at the Institute for International Research, Shari started out as a Marketing Assistant. Throughout the years, she excelled and quickly climbed the corporate ladder being promoted to Marketing Manager, then Senior Marketing Manager. Shari was a key team member on events such as Partnerships with CROs, ePharma Summit and Partnerships with Central Labs and Clinical Trials Congress. With her innovation and marketing excellence, she helped grow these events into multi-million dollar record breaking events. Shari then took some time off to start a family and eased her way back into the conference world as a Freelance Marketing Manager with World Research Group and eventually found her new home at ExL Pharma.
Shari has two beautiful daughters and a supportive husband. In addition to balancing her career and family, Shari also enjoys being a “soccer” and “baseball” mom, spending time with friends and family, traveling and just relaxing at her home in New Jersey.

Michael Goldberg, Director of Sales, brings 15+ years of high-producing Sales, Management and Business Ownership experience to ExL Pharma.
A BA graduate from the University of Maryland, Michael began his career in the conference industry. The technology boom lured him to become an integral player in the establishment of one of the first authorized education centers in New York City for instruction, implementation and customization of the operating systems for Lotus, Microsoft, Citrix, Novell and Cisco. Entering in a sales capacity, he quickly moved up the ranks of the organization to VP, and ultimately Managing Partner. With an ahead-of-the-curve affinity for technology, he brings significant knowledge of many disciplines that support our now technology-dependent culture.
When not focused on the needs of his business colleagues, Michael can be found on the golf course, tennis or beach volleyball courts, mountain biking or kayaking. His school days training as a competitive athlete in tennis, basketball and lacrosse prepared him well for the physical and mental rigors of the highly competitive nature of the business world. Bolstered by the love of his family, friends and his hybrid-suburban/city lifestyle, Michael brings a spirited energy to ExL Pharma.
Caroline Kamper, Division Head, Meeting Planning and Coordination

Caroline Kamper heads the Meeting Planning and Coordination division handling all the meeting logistics at ExL Pharma. Caroline is responsible for venue sourcing, site selection, contract negotiations and planning of all meetings as well as managing the support staff to the sales and production teams.
Originally from Arizona, Caroline moved to New York City in 2001 and graduated from Marymount Manhattan College with a BA in Communications. While in her final semester she started an internship with the Institute for International Research which led to a full time position in a sales coordination role post graduation. After learning the conference business from the ground up Caroline moved into the meeting planning department where she planned meetings and events across all the various business segments in the US and Internationally for 7 years. Now at ExL Pharma she enjoys the challenge of running a department and learning a new portfolio of events.
Caroline loves traveling, dining out and spending time with her fiancé and her French Bulldog, Harvey.
Matt Millman, Division Head, Program Development

Matt Millman is the currently the Head of Production at ExL Pharma. Matt’s focus is assisting Bio/Pharmaceutical and Medical Device executives with their day-to-day business responsibilities through access to a diverse portfolio of timely, educational programs that range throughout the product development lifecycle.
Matt graduated from the University of Maryland at College Park with a BA in Philosophy. He joined the Partnership Marketing Connection in Stamford CT soon thereafter as Marketing Manager, where he gained valuable experience collaborating with clients such as Polo, Golfsmith, and Nike on the creation of a digital sales portal. PMC also provided Matt with first-hand experience of the challenges and rewards of running a start-up business.
Equipped with event planning and hospitality experience from various MLB, Olympic, WTA, NFL and Track and Field events, Matt began working in the Corporate Event Planning sector in 2006, culminating in his promotion to Production Head for ExL in 2011 working alongside his colleagues, turning ideas into programs.
Matt enjoys playing basketball, swimming, golfing and spending time with his friends and family in New York City, including walking his dog Cooper each afternoon in Central Park.
