As founder and CEO of Essential Pharmaceuticals, LLC, Allan Weber brings more than 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and medical industry, with a focus on small to mid-sized companies and growth strategies for these companies.  Essential is a specialized company focusing in transplant and cardio-thoracic surgery.  In addition to its successful Custodiol® product, the company continues to look for growth opportunities.

Prior to Essential, Allan was General Manager of Odyssey Pharmaceuticals, leading this fully-integrated start-up organization to successful growth and diversification.  As a result of its success, Allan became instrumental in helping lead Odyssey’s successful buyout by Barr Pharmaceuticals.  Throughout his career, Allan has had major roles in positions of increasing responsibility in various sales, marketing, business development and strategic planning functions at Lavipharm Laboratories, Gynetics, Inc. and Carter Wallace.  Allan began his career at Ethicon, Inc., a Johnson and Johnson company.

Allan received his BA in economics from the University of Maryland and his MA in economics/finance from the State University of New York at Binghamton.
