Started off in Psychology and specialized in behavioral Neurocience for his PhD. Joined Solvay Pharmaceuticals in 1995 and worked as a scientist in research, leading different lab-teams in target discovery and pharmacological screening. Was responsible for preclinical pharmacology in phase I, II, and III clinical development programs. Since three years heading the pharmacological screening unit in The Netherlands. In this position he pioneered in Operational Excellence for research. His goal is to bring about a transformation of the team into a mind set of continuous improvement. His vision is that it is all about involving people. His main focus therefore is on cultivating ownership and commitment within the people to continuously improve their work processes. For this he reaches back to his background in Psychology, experience in training, coaching and moderating workshops in order to initiate fruitful, meaningful and lasting relations between people.
