Cynthia has twenty years of healthcare and pharmaceutical marketing experience. She has been with Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals for ten of those years, where she is currently the Consumer Marketing Director for their hematology franchise. Cynthia leads patient acquisition, conversion, retention, & advocacy development, as well as interactive and social media strategies. She has held various positions within the company. Prior to this role, she led the consumer marketing team for the multiple sclerosis/neurology group. She was also the Director of Global Marketing Communications and Creative Brand Management—where she led global agency selection/management and creative brand building. 

Before joining Bayer, she held several key senior account management positions at CommonHealth—working with clients like Schering Plough and Merck. She launched various line extensions of the Claritin® franchise helping to make it one of the most successful blockbuster brands in the industry. Cynthia also held various positions in the managed care arena—having worked at Prudential HealthCare, as well as Blue Cross Blue Shield of NJ. Within these roles, she managed numerous patient/employee and physician marketing initiatives.

Keeping ahead of industry trends and staying relevant are key success drivers for Cynthia. She chairs, leads workshops and speaks at a variety of industry conferences—like Exl Pharma, Eye for Pharma, and CBI. She also judges the MM&M Awards. At Bayer, she is the Co-Chair of the Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceutical’s Diversity and Inclusion Council, and has garnered a myriad of awards and recognitions within the organization for the innovative programs she has developed and launched.

Cynthia holds an MPA in Health Policy and Management from Seton Hall University and an undergraduate degree from Rutgers University. She was on the board of directors for the HealthCare Marketing and Communications Council (HMC); and is an active member of the HealthCare BusinessWomen’s Association (HBA).
