Donna Cary is Director, Public Relations in the US Communications Group for sanofi pasteur, the vaccines division of the sanofi-aventis Group. In this capacity, Donna, is responsible for developing and managing implementation of product public relations initiatives and US corporate communications for investigational and in-line vaccines including promotional programming, media strategy and media relations, and issues and crisis management. Donna is also a representative to the sanofi-aventis U.S. social media task force and sanofi pasteur US social media advisory team -- cross functional teams responsible for ensuring governance of US social media strategies and alignment with global strategy and governance.

Donna has more than 25 years of experience in communications primarily related to marketing in the pharmaceutical industry. Donna joined sanofi pasteur in a product public relations role in 2006. Prior to joining sanofi pasteur Donna worked in insurance and financial services marketing and sales from 2002-2005. Previously, Donna was a member of the Corporate Public Affairs team at Merck & Co., Inc. where she served in various public relations, product communications and public policy positions during her 21 year career at this company.

Donna received her Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry and Chemistry from The University of Scranton and an MBA in marketing from Lehigh University.
