Fernando graduated as a Medical Doctor in 1983 in São Paulo University, with residence in Gastroenterology and Surgery, Specialization in Hepathology and Liver Transplant at Hospital das Clínicas, Surgeon Responsible for Surgical Group for Liver Transplantation at Osvaldo Cruz Hospital, Professor of Medicine in latu sensu and Audit Consultant. He has MBA in Marketing (FEA - USP), Courses of Pharmaceutical Medicine, Pharmacoeconomy and Health Economy Course and Clinical Research.

His professional career  begun at  Wyeth  in 1995 as  Medical Manager, responsible for the Technical Scientific Support  for the Hospital Line, Divisional Manager  for Hospital and CNS in 1997,. L.A Representative - Global Brand Team in 1998, Divisional Manager for Hospital and Female Health in 2001, Regional Medical Expert (1998 - 2002), and Medical Director in 2002.

On February 2007 he assumed the Clinical Research and Development Area for Wyeth Int., as C R & D Regional Medical Director in addition to his position of Global Medical Affairs Director & Regional Expert.

Since September 2007 he has been working for the Clinical Research and Development area with some personal challenges: Improve the Clinical Trials number in Brazil, became the  R&D area a business player in the pharmaceutical universe and bring for Patients the best products  improving their quality of life.
