Ian Talmage has held significant positions in the Pharmaceutical Industry, in which he has gained Strategic Planning, Partnering, M&A and Global Marketing experience. He currently works with Bayer Schering Pharma where he has held positions in Pharma Development, the Strategic Planning Group, Global Strategic Marketing, and most recently the BU General Medicine where he has responsibility for the global launch and roll-out of 'Xarelto'.
Prior to this, Ian has worked with a number of major Pharma organisations, including Astra where he carried commercial responsibility for their global Cardiovascular and Gastrointestinal interests, Novartis where he held senior positions in both Global Marketing and Business Development & Licensing, SmithKline where he worked in a number of roles including International Strategic Marketing and Brand Management and in Yamanouchi where he carried responsibility for their European Marketing and Medical Affairs Teams.
His launch management experience includes a number of key global brands, including 'Losec'/'Prilosec' and 'Diovan', and he has gathered significant cross-TA experience in areas including Gastroenterology, Cardiology, Oncology, Respiratory, Transplantation, CNS, Dermatology, Ophthalmology and Thrombosis.
In addition, Ian has worked in many different geographies, having been based in the UK, US, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands and now Germany.
