Kent Rogers has been in the pharmaceutical industry for over 17 years with the last 10 being in Managed Markets.   His career in the pharmaceutical industry started with Carter Wallace followed by 14 years with Schering Plough where he held positions in primary care sales, specialty sales and Managed Markets, including positions with the Joint Venture between Merck and Schering Plough on their cardiovascular products.   Within the Managed Markets arena, Kent worked as a Regional and National Account Executive with responsibility for PHS, VA, DoD, teaching institutions, integrated health systems, MCOs, PBMs, Medicare Part D and state Medicaid programs.  Before leaving Schering, he was based in their corporate office as the Director of Payer Strategy with responsibility for six in-license products and four phase III products in various stages of pre-approval.  Kent’s primary responsibility was the oversight of product positioning, formulary contracting and health economics & outcomes research programs for these assets.  In 2008, Kent joined Acorda Therapeutics, a biotechnology company whose mission is to develop and market therapies to restore neurological function in people with spinal cord injury (SCI), multiple sclerosis (MS) and related conditions of the nervous system.  As the Senior Director of Managed Markets, he has been responsible for building a team of field-based account managers and home office based personnel in the areas of Payer Strategy, Trade & Specialty Channel Management and Contracts/Pricing.  He has a B.S. in Business Management from Indiana University’s School of Business and an MBA from Emory University.
