Kirsten Gorsuch

Kirsten Gorsuch is vice president of Corporate Communications at Medtronic, Inc., the world’s leading medical device company. She joined the company in May 2005 and is responsible for global internal and external public relations, brand management, community affairs, the Medtronic Foundation and corporate conventions.  She is a member of the Medtronic Foundation Board of Directors and reports to Medtronic chairman and CEO, Art Collins.

Prior to joining Medtronic, Kirsten spent the last 10 years as a senior communications consultant for two global public relations agencies – GCI Group and Ketchum.  As a senior vice president at both firms, she was responsible for overseeing some of the firms’ largest healthcare strategic engagements.  With more than 15 years of corporate and agency communications experience, Kirsten brought vast knowledge across multiple sectors to clients.   

In addition to her significant product marketing expertise, Kirsten designed and oversaw  several executive-level programs in corporate reputation and strategic market development.   In partnership with her then client, Medtronic, she led the cross functional public relations team effort to help ensure Medicare coverage for ICD therapy for patients with heart failure.  This program went on to win many public relations awards, including beating out more than 800 entrants for the highest honor – PR Week Campaign of the Year in 2004.

In addition to her healthcare public relations agency background, Kirsten has considerable experience working in the communications departments of other large companies, including Bank of America and Security Pacific Corporation.

Kirsten has a Bachelor of Arts degree in telecommunications from Indiana University.
