Merck

With more than 30 years of experience in healthcare marketing communications, Lee Davies has held management positions at major pharmaceutical companies and healthcare communications firms. Lee is a true believer of integrated communications, having literally "done it all” in pharmaceuticals: product management (Pfizer and Schering-Plough), medical advertising (Klemtner), medical education (Health Education Technologies), sales (Pfizer), and public relations (Burson-Marsteller; Public Relations in Science and Medicine; Davies & Murray; Euro RSCG Life PR; Ogilvy PR worldwide; and now Schering-Plough).

Before joining Schering-Plough in 2006 to head global communications for all cardiovascular products, Lee was senior vice president at Euro RSCG Life PR and Ogilvy PR Worldwide. Earlier he was president of his own medical education and healthcare public relations firm for 11 years, where he guided the communications efforts for such companies as Bristol-Myers Squibb (global PR launch of antibiotic Tequin, Cefzil, Buspar, Serzone), Rhone-Poulenc Rorer/Armour-Centeon (hemophilia line, asthma), GlaxoSmithKline (Lamictal, all dermatology products), Novo Nordisk (Prandin), and Schering-Plough (global marketing for new antibiotic Cedax). Lee has extensive experience in global communications, including Schering AG/Berlex's Betaseron (MS); Sanofi-Aventis's Lantus and Apidra (diabetes); BMS’s Tequin; and Schering-Plough’s Cedax.

Lee received a B. A. degree in biology and English from Columbia College, New York, and an MBA in marketing and information systems from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
