Lisa Fleury has more than eight years of experience with coding, coverage, and reimbursement issues in various settings of care. She specializes in assessing the impact of changes to Medicare and managed care payment systems on the reimbursement of drugs, biologics, and devices, with extensive experience in the areas of oncology, nephrology, infectious disease, and cardiology.
Ms. Fleury frequently leads training sessions and provider-driven policy initiatives related to healthcare economics and improved patient access. She brings to these engagements extensive experience working with policy makers, hospital organizations, physician groups, clinicians, and practice administrators to understand, navigate, and overcome barriers to providing optimal patient care. By applying the lessons learned through this experience, she has been able to assist several manufacturers in the development and restructuring of in-house reimbursement planning, and then to integrate reimbursement, health economics, and pricing activities into a comprehensive planning process.
Prior to joining Covance, Ms. Fleury was a Molecular Reimbursement Specialist for Abbott Laboratories, where she monitored and communicated coverage policies for more than 200 diagnostic products. She also was a member of the IVD Task Force with AdvaMed.
Ms. Fleury received a B.S. in Human Development from Cornell University and an M.A. in Public Policy and Administration, with a concentration in Health Services Policy, from Northwestern University.
