Lori Gorski is Associate Director of Corporate Communications at Genzyme, one of the world’s largest biotechnology companies. For the past year, she has been on the front lines of the most significant crisis in the company’s history, managing communications around the shutdown of one of the company’s manufacturing facilities, and the resulting global product shortages for therapies used to treat two rare and serious diseases. In addition to her experience at Genzyme, Lori has spent fifteen years dedicated to healthcare and life sciences communications, including media and analyst relations, crisis communications, employee communications and brand management for several global companies, including Thermo Fisher Scientific, PerkinElmer, Johnson and Johnson Orthopaedics and Philips Medical Systems. Lori graduated from Boston College with a degree in Communications and Political Science, and lives north of Boston with her husband and two young sons.
