A pharmaceutical physician with 28 years industry experience including over 12 years as Medical Director and Associate Medical Director of international pharmaceutical subsidiaries. Director and project leader of clinical development programmes (Phase III-IV) in CVS, CNS, GIT, Allergy, Pain, Immunology, and Dermatology therapy areas.

Broad experience in Medical Affairs and medical marketing. A successful member of multidisciplinary teams in both hierarchical organizations and those with matrix management. An excellent project manager with exceptional attention to detail who is task orientated and works well under pressure to deadlines.

Joined the Pharmaceutical Industry in 1982, working as Medical Advisor and them as Medical Director in Medical Department and Marketing at Hoechst, Casasco, Schering-Plough, Parke Davis, Elea and Merck Serono

Now I’m working since 2007 in Merck Serono as Medical Director of Medical and Marketing Area. The main activities are: coordinating all the activities in Medical Department & Marketing liaison, mainly Cardiovascular, Respiratory and GI areas, Phase III-IV Clinical Trials and Medical Affairs.

Since 1998, an active participation as Speaker and Chairman in National and International Symposia and Congresses, including several ICPM and IFAPP-EMEA Conferences. President in 2001 of the II Pan-American Congress on Pharmaceutical Medicine.
