Randy Krauss is Associate Director & Head of Metrics, Analytics and Performance (MAP). In this role, Randy is primarily responsible for metrics in the clinical, biomedical operations as well as external benchmarking. He is responsible for implementing and reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and supports cross-functional teams in continuous improvement projects.  Randy also manages Operational Review Meetings to ensure operational success of our studies and processes.  Before this, Randy was Associate Director of Portfolio Management and was responsible for successfully designing and implementing Genzyme’s Portfolio of Projects database; a database used to capture global development plans and status updates for projects Genzyme’s R&D portfolio. 
 
Prior to joining Genzyme in 2000, He was on the faculty at Boston University School of Medicine and taught in a job training program that enabled students to get jobs in biotech, He received his Ph.D. from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and completed a fellowship at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center.
