Rob Clark is Sr. Director of State Government Affairs for Medtronic, Inc., headquartered in Minneapolis, Minn.  Medtronic is the world’s leading medical technology company, with $14.6 billion in annual revenues and more than 38,000 employees worldwide.  Mr. Clark coordinates Medtronic’s outreach to state legislators and policy makers on health care issues and other issues affecting Medtronic in the United States.  Mr. Clark represents Medtronic on various legislative and policy coalitions, associations and forums.  
Prior to his current role, Mr. Clark served as Sr. Director of Corporate Public and Media Relations and was the company’s primary spokesperson to the news media.  Mr. Clark represented Medtronic on corporate financial and policy matters and issues affecting Medtronic’s cardiosvascular products and therapies, including pacemakers, implantable defibrillators, coronary stents and heart valves.
Mr. Clark has also served as Director of Public Relations and Government Affairs for Medtronic Vascular, based in Santa Rosa, Calif.  Medtronic Vascular manufactures and markets coronary stents and endovascular stent grafts for the treatment of coronary, peripheral and endovascular artery disease. 
Prior to joining Medtronic, Mr. Clark served as Director of Public Relations and Government Affairs for ADC Telecommunications in Minneapolis.  ADC is a multi-million dollar provider of telecom hardware and software solutions for communications service providers.  Mr. Clark has held similar leadership positions at Digi International, Minneapolis, and Acterna, Germantown, Md.  Mr. Clark also served as a Public Affairs Officer in the United States Air Force and Air Force Reserve where he attained the rank of Major.
Mr. Clark is active in the community, serving on the Board of Directors of the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce and as Medtronic’s CEO Representative to the Minnesota Business Partnership, a coalition of CEOs representing the state’s top businesses. 
Mr. Clark holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from The Virginia Military Institute and a Master of Arts degree in political science from The University of South Dakota.  Mr. Clark is married (Laura) and has two sons, Nathan and Andrew.
