Stef Mendell

Stef Mendell is Director of Communications, Global Manufacturing & Supply (GMS), at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK).  GSK is a world leading research-based pharmaceutical company.
Stef joined legacy company Glaxo Wellcome in 1997 as Manager, R&D Communications, and was instrumental in communications activities supporting the merger between Glaxo Wellcome and SmithKline Beecham.  She was subsequently appointed as Director, R&D Internal Communications & Community Relations, before moving to Manufacturing Communications in 2001.  At that time Stef took on responsibility for establishing and managing execution of a global communications strategy for a major corporate change initiative involving rationalization of manufacturing sites.
Before joining GSK, Stef served as Executive Director of HopeLine, a nonprofit United Way organization.  Previous to that, she spent 10 years building and managing communications at the Microelectronics Center of North Carolina. She also worked in market research and information management for Philip Morris.
Stef holds a Masters degree in Information & Library Science and a BA with Honors in Psychology, both from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
